Artist Connection

This piece is dedicated to and inspired by my Dad. It wasn’t consciously created with him in mind but everything about it is him, especially the fragrance. The link between smell and memory is strong and this scent is my Dad on Sunday mornings. It is a mix of soap, sugar, cologne, with a hint of tobacco. The aesthetic symbolism all stem from him as well. He passed away a few years ago and after many encounters I realized it’s never a coincidence when a dragonfly crosses your path. Love and miss you Dad.
